This program is intended to highlight the interplay between FMLA, ADA, state disability and workers’ compensation including overlapping obligations that managers and HR professionals must understand. The following topics will be discussed:

  • FMLA and disability basics including an employer’s obligations under each and when such obligations are triggered
  • Complexities of the FMLA, including intermittent FMLA leave and securing necessary leave certifications
  • Disability accommodation challenges and the interactive process
  • Overlapping obligations under the FMLA, ADA, state discrimination statutes, and workers’ compensation
