This program will provide an in-depth framework for employers tackling employee addiction issues (e.g., applicants with a known substance abuse record, employees who violate policies but are not terminated, and situations where an employee voluntarily self-discloses an addiction). Littler attorneys will discuss initial referrals for evaluation, cost issues, verification of satisfactory participation, and completion of recommended education, counseling and rehabilitation. They will further address treatment and aftercare, leave for treatment, return-to-duty issues, and unannounced follow-up testing.
