Alyssa S. Gjedsted

Alyssa Gjedsted represents employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims.
Alyssa handles all aspects of labor and employment matters, providing clients with strategic and practical solutions to assist clients with a wide range of issues. She is directly and deeply involved in the day-to-day litigation of her matters, tailoring her litigation strategy for each case and each client.
As an experienced trial attorney, Alyssa has successfully tried a number of cases on behalf of clients, achieving cost-effective favorable results which include the following:
- Successfully defended a public entity client in a national origin and race discrimination case brought by multiple plaintiffs, achieving full defense verdict in Los Angeles Superior Court
- Successfully defended a pharmaceutical company in pregnancy discrimination dispute, achieving full defense verdict in arbitration
- Successfully defended a public hospital in a COVID religious accommodation matter brought by twenty-four plaintiffs, resulting in a hung jury following a six-week trial in Monterey County
While in law school, Alyssa externed for Judge Arthur Alarcon at the Ninth Circuit and Judge Gregory Alarcon at the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Alyssa also received the Straus Institute Certificate for Alternative Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law.
