Amy Thompson represents employers in a broad range of labor and employment matters arising under federal and state law. Amy’s practice includes representing employers in litigation in federal and state courts as well as before administrative agencies including actions involving:

  • Title VII of the Civil Rights Act claims for discrimination, harassment, and retaliation
  • Age Discrimination in Employment Act
  • Americans with Disabilities Act
  • Family and Medical Leave Act
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration
  • Fair Labor Standards Act
  • Labor Management Relations Act
  • Unfair competition and trade secrets matters
  • State common law and statutory claims including wrongful discharge, constructive discharge, negligence, breach of contract, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and intentional interference
  • Class action defense, including wage and hour litigation under FLSA and state law

Amy also provides advice and counsel on various employment issues in such areas as disability accommodation requests, employee leaves of absence, investigations, performance management, discipline and termination issues, harassment and hostile work environment complaints, and compliance.

Prior to joining Littler, Amy was in-house labor and employment counsel for a large multistate hospitality corporation.  

Amy practiced as a registered dietitian prior to attending law school.
