William S. Robbins, Jr. is an experienced attorney in matters relating to workplace safety and traditional labor matters. He has represented clients in federal and state OSHA investigations involving workplace fatalities and other worksite incidents. He has assisted clients in preparing and reviewing safety manuals to ensure compliance with the appropriate general industry and construction standards. He has also represented employers in whistleblower cases alleging violations of OSHA, the Surface Transportation Assistance Act, and the Federal Railroad Safety Act.
Bill has appeared before the National Labor Relations Board and the Kansas Public Employee Relations Board on matters relating to union certification and unfair labor practices. He counsels employers on union avoidance and provides assistance to companies that are involved in union organizing campaigns. He represents clients in all facets of management-union relations, including labor arbitration, strike and consumer boycott management, and labor contract negotiations.
He also provides counsel to employers concerning employment policies and procedures, which includes management training on strategies to reduce the risk of discrimination charges, wage and hour claims and workplace safety citations.
As a trial attorney, Bill has served as lead attorney in state and federal courts located throughout the Midwest on matters ranging from employment discrimination, wage and hour disputes, fringe benefit claims and class action employment related litigation.
