Overview

Yara Mroueh has broad experience advising and defending employers in all aspects of employment law including employee discipline, workplace investigations, contract disputes, harassment and retaliation, wage and hour, labor relations, civil rights, and federal and state employment discrimination matters. Yara also provides clients with mandatory compliance trainings, both in English and in Spanish.

Yara has handled a multitude of complex litigation matters before federal and state courts as well as administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Illinois Department of Human Rights, Illinois Department of Labor, and Illinois Department of Employment Security. Yara also routinely assists clients with various forms of alternative dispute resolution, such as private and agency-based mediation, and court-sponsored settlement conferences.

Prior to joining Littler, Yara was an attorney in the commercial litigation and employment practice groups of a full-service Chicago law firm representing a variety of private sector clients in commercial and employment disputes.

During law school, Yara earned a Labor and Employment Certificate.
