Yusra Siddiquee and George J.A. Vassos, partners in the firm’s Toronto office, were named leading lawyers in the categories of Immigration and Employment and Labour, respectively.

Yusra Siddiquee works with Canadian and international companies on corporate immigration strategies involving, among others, compliance policies and the temporary and permanent entry of employees to global destinations. With comprehensive experience in immigration law, Siddiquee advises employers on alternate jurisdictions to relocate key employees who are unable to secure immigration status. She also advises on the employment and termination of foreign workers, as well as the human capital costs for international projects, and provides training to companies on immigration policies and processes. Siddiquee’s clients span a wide range of industries, including engineering, telecommunications, information technology, health sciences and energy.
Siddiquee received her LL.B. from the University of British Columbia and her B.A., with honours, from McGill University. She has been recognized by Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory in Immigration Law, Who’s Who Legal for Corporate Immigration and The International Who’s Who of Corporate Immigration Lawyers.
George J.A.Vassos focuses his practice on advocacy before trial and appellate courts and various labour boards, arbitrators, mediators, adjudicators and other administrative tribunals. He also provides strategic and proactive advice on a wide variety of labour and employment law issues. Active in the legal community, Vassos is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Toronto Lawyers Association, Human Resources Professionals Association and is a board member of the Macedonian Canadian Lawyers Association.
Vassos received his LL.B. and his B.Comm., with honours, from Queen’s University. Additionally, he earned his M.I.R. from the University of Toronto.
