SAN FRANCISCO (February 25, 2025) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has appointed Heather M. Vigil as office managing shareholder (OMS) of the firm’s San Francisco office. Vigil succeeds Constance E. Norton who has stepped down to focus on her active litigation practice and other firm responsibilities. In addition to San Francisco, Vigil will continue her role as OMS in the Irvine and Portland, Oregon offices.
"As a proven and established leader, Heather is the ideal candidate to take the helm of the San Francisco office," said Erin Webber, Littler’s managing director and president. "We are confident that Heather will build on the solid foundation Connie has created as we continue to elevate Littler’s presence throughout Northern California. On behalf of the firm, we thank Connie for her many years of leadership, and service to, our San Francisco office."
Vigil defends managers in employment litigation across federal and state courts, arbitration and administrative hearings. She advises international employers and has a strong record of success. Vigil also conducts training sessions and provides guidance on workplace investigations, terminations and disciplinary actions under the Fair Employment and Housing Act and California Labor Code. Additionally, she is dedicated to promoting inclusion, equity and diversity in the workplace, previously serving as co-chair of Littler’s Reunión affinity group and a regional lead liaison for the firm’s Women’s Leadership Initiative.
"We have an exceptional team of attorneys and professional staff in San Francisco, and I am eager to collaborate with them to further expand our presence in the market," Vigil added. "Connie has set a high standard for leadership, and I am excited to step into the role to lead our San Francisco team as we continue delivering innovative and business-focused solutions for our clients as they navigate an ever-evolving legal landscape."
Vigil holds a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law, an M.A. from the University of Amsterdam and a B.A. from San Jose State University.
