NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 3, 2017) – The Nashville office of Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, today announced the addition of Michael S. Moschel. He joins the firm as a shareholder, previously a member at Bass Berry & Sims.
“Michael’s arrival augments the impressive roster of Littler attorneys in Nashville and the recent additions the firm has been making in other markets, as well,” said Jen Robinson, office managing shareholder in the Nashville office and co-chair of Littler’s Food and Beverage Industry Group. “His profound labor management relations background will be advantageous when serving both our local and national employer clients, and I am pleased to welcome him to the firm.”
Moschel counsels and represents clients through a range of complex traditional labor matters, including collective bargaining, labor arbitrations, organizing campaigns, unfair labor practice claims and union prevention. He has appeared before the U.S. Supreme Court and the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), among others. In addition to his traditional labor work, which includes advice related to the Davis-Bacon Act and Service Contract Act, Moschel handles client issues involving alternative dispute resolution, discrimination and harassment, independent contractors and contingent workers, wage and hour compliance and more. His client roster spans multiple industries, but he has notable experience advising government service contractors and health care companies.
“Employers across the country are dealing with an ever-changing regulatory environment, both statewide and nationwide. I look forward to serving my clients alongside my colleagues in the Nashville office of Littler, a firm I have come to recognize for its extraordinary commitment to innovation and client service,” Moschel said.
Outside of his practice, Moschel is a board member of a number of organizations, including the Harding Academy and the Leah Rose Residence for Senior Citizens. Additionally, he is a member of the National Federation of Independent Business’s Labor Advisory Council. Moschel earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and his B.A. from the University of Rochester.
Littler established its presence in Tennessee in 2011, first in Nashville and then in Memphis.
